Products and stock

Every product carries a price, a cost and a reorder level. Orin shows you the margin without being asked.

Levels are never stored

A stock level is the sum of that product's movements. Nothing writes a level directly, so the history and the number on the screen cannot drift apart.

• Confirming an order writes sale movements.
• Cancelling one writes them back.
• Receiving goods is a purchase.
• Anything else — breakages, recounts, returns — is an adjustment with a reason.

Reorder levels

A product at or below its reorder level shows as low stock on the dashboard and in the stock list. Set it to the amount you want to still have in hand when the next delivery lands.
